Bitcoins

Bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency that operates without the need for a central authority, such as a bank or government. It uses blockchain technology, a secure and transparent ledger, to record transactions. Introduced in 2009 by an anonymous creator known as Satoshi Nakamoto, Bitcoin enables peer-to-peer transfers, where users can send and receive money globally with minimal fees. Its supply is limited to 21 million coins, making it scarce and often considered a store of value or “digital gold.” Bitcoin can be used for purchases, investments, or as a hedge against traditional financial systems.
